Question

I need to change the state on my schedule B and it is grayed out. How do I fix the state? It will not let me file because the zip does not match.

Are you referring to Schedule B, Interest and Dividend Income? Go back to the Wages & Income section of TurboTax, to where you entered the Interest or Dividend income item that is causing the issue (under Investments and Savings). If you enter a state and a state ID number in TurboTax Online for an interest item, the program will require that a dollar amount be entered as well.

There is no zip code required to be entered for Schedule B. Check the error message in the File section to be sure you have identified the correct item to be changed.
