Question

I need to mail in Form 8453 with Form 8949 automatically selected. Tip says you can include brokerage year end docs instead. Can it be only page showing the transaction?

In lieu of Form 8949, you can substitute copies of your year-end broker statements that show the individual transactions.   You don't need to include unadjusted Box A or Box D transactions.

 

If you go back in and enter your transactions one by one instead of in a summary - you won't need to mail anything.   The pic below says PDF, but that is only for the Online software.  If you use the desktop and enter a summary, you have to mail in the details.
