Print the return, sign in ink.  On the first page of the printout is a list of any documents to send with the mailed return and the address to mail it to.

Use a certified mail service to mail the return.  Since you payment was deducted, you do not have to worry about the payment being received on time.

Hate to tell you this ... but if the return was rejected then the IRS did NOT get the debit information so if you mail in your return you need to either send the payment with the return  OR  go online at www.irs.gov/payments to pay directly.

If you HAVE already made the payment and you have the proof in your account then simply mail in the return without the payment since it is already paid.

How and when was it deducted?   Did you go online and pay it separately or make a payment with an extension?  Did you actually check your bank account that it was paid?  Because if your efile was rejected the IRS didn't get your payment info to deduct it.

I efiled return/extension and payment was made online thru Turbo tax; but then return was rejected.  The amount due is showing on my bank account; looks like it might be pending

Ok ... since the return was rejected the payment info did not go thru to the IRS  and you should see the pending debit removed from your account in a couple of days.  It will fail and you must make the payment another way.
