I did not get any IRS form, maybe as this is a foreign company-based?  They supplied nothing, but this is >$600.

You do not have to have any forms to complete this information.  If you are not an employee, you should use some type of method to track income and expenses.  You can use your bank records to report income you received from work as an independent contractor as well.

To do this once logged into your return click the following

  • Tax Home
  • Federal
  • Wages and Income
  • Scroll down and click Add More income
  • See list of all income
  • Click Show More next to Self-Employment
  • Start next to Self-Employment
  • As you walk through the entries you will be prompted to upgrade depending on your entries either while entering income or when it asks you to enter your expenses.
  • You will enter your income using the "cash" box
