I no longer want TurboTax to file my NC tax return. How do I do that?

I no longer want TurboTax to file my NC income tax return.

Using TurboTax, I am going through a "do-loop" where I keep coming back to fixing the NC return.

Can anyone at Intuit help me with this or do I just buy H&R Block and start over.

That would work but you would lose a customer forever .

Thoughts?

Well...with Desktop H&B, the easiest solution is to delete the NC tax return.

(Assumes you have not actually filed NC and had NC "accepted")

1) Open that tax file, and be sure you are someplace inside one of the Federal sections.

2) Go up to the upper left "File" menu selection.

3) From the Dropdown menu select "Remove State Return"

4) Select the NC state return and hit the "Remove" button

5) Do a "Save" of your tax file right away.

If you have not yet paid for eFile with Turbo Tax, go back to the beginning of the eFile section.  Select eFile, Next, then scroll down on that page 2 and select "I do not want to eFile" for North Carolina.  Doing that will only eFile your Federal Return and you can print and mail your NC return directly.
