Question

I only made 120 back with the job I had. Why am I getting so much money back with federal? Did I do my taxes right?

You may be entitled to some credits that result in you getting more in your refund than taxes you had withheld from your pay. You can look on line 27 to 30 of your form 1040, and also schedule 3 to see what credits you are getting. 

 

You can view your form 1040 and schedule 3 while working in the online version of TurboTax by following these steps:

 

While working on your return in the Federal section of TurboTax:

 

   1.  Choose the Tax Tools icon on your left menu bar

   2.  Tools

   3.  View Tax Summary

   4.  Choose the Preview my 1040 on your left menu bar
