Question

I paid my ct state taxes through the irs and now i cant complete my return to file by midnight

i am doing them through turbo tax wanted to pay with a credit card so i got directed to  irs to do so which it still didnt let me so i paid with my debit card directly to my bank account

You don't pay state taxes through the IRS. You pay state taxes at your state website.

 

When you file your return, mark that you are mailing the payment so the program will not bother you with collecting bank information when you already paid.
