I previously filed and scheduled payment for April 15. Now I need to change the scheduled payment for state taxes (Rhode Island). How do I modify scheduled payment date?

Due to an unexpected change of circumstances, I cannot make the full payment on April 15th, but there is apparently no way to change the direct deposit information I already set up previously.

You can't change a payment that has been established unless you manage to find a human in that department for the state. If the draft bounces, they may try again or they may send a bill.
