I purchased a new Tesla from the dealership in 2024. I was given $7,500 off the purchase price. Can I also claim this amount on my income tax?
Claim as a “Clean Credit Credit Amount” since the discount was already given at purchase?
The $7,500 off the purchase price was the EV credit you agreed to give to the dealer. You cannot claim the credit on a tax return since you signed the credit over to the dealer.
