Huh?  Did you use the Desktop program to do the first return?  Then you already have it on your computer.  Go up to File-New to start another return.

No, I did not download it.  I started one return online, and paid for the program, and now I need to do the second return.  I have the order number and the confirmation email, but the 2016 version does not appear in my downloads.  I really need to get started on the next one tonight, cannot wait for customer service to open up in the morning!

So you used Self-Employed online and now you want to switch to the desktop version Home & Business?

I just want to do another return.  I purchased this:  Order information
    Qty Item Amount
1 TURBOTAX ONLINE SELF EMPLOYED TY2016 PREP $114.99
    Subtotal:     $114.99
    Sales Tax:     $0.00
    Total:     $114.99
I assumed, as in the past, that by purchasing I would get a download -- but it does not show up there.

You just paid for the Online web version.  Which is only good for 1 return.

That is ridiculous.  $114. is not just good for one return.  I specifically asked the online customer rep if I could continue on and do the second return.  I have never heard of something like this -- and about to get extremely vocal if I can't get this worked out.  I have been a customer all the way back to 09 and never had this kind of issue.  I need to be able to start a new return -- I don't care if it is online or on my desktop, but there is no way I paid that much for one return.

Sorry but there has always been 2 versions.  The Online web version and the Desktop installed program.  You bought the wrong one.  Didn't you notice it was different and you didn't have to download and install it?  You log into the online version each time.  You don't log into the app on your Mac.  And there are many other differences.  Like you can't switch to the Forms Mode and see the forms in online.

"I bought the wrong one."  Yes I noticed a ton of differences, which I do not like, but assumed the company had done a remake, as so many others have.  I am aware that there has always been an online version and a downloadable version, but the online was for simple returns and was FREE.  When I paid $114, I did not expect to run into this kind of a nightmare.  And I don't know if any of you work with Intuit, but I am getting this attitude that I am a dummy.  I am not.  I am a bit frazzled by this, on top of the normal tax angst.  You keep giving me the help line, but they are closed.  I really needed to get this done tonight, and there is nobody available who can make this right.  If you are a volunteer and not tied to Intuit, apologies for the rant -- but this is insane.

Sorry for your frustration.  We understand it with the deadline looming.  We are volunteers, not TurboTax employees, so we are unable to fix the situation for you.  Only customer support has the ability to do that.  They will open at 5 a.m. Pacific time tomorrow morning.

If you already downloaded it and prepared a return, then it is installed on your hard drive.  You do not need to download it again.  You just open the program and click File and Start a New Return.

No, I did not download it.  I did the other online, then purchased the program so I could file that and move on to another one.  I assumed I was purchasing a downloadable version.... how do I get to that and/or start a new return online?
