I purchased turbo tax for 2016 and filed my dads tax, how do I file mine with the same purchase as his?

How do I figure out how to use that program?   I will be purchasing 2017 and hopefully be able to file both of our returns?

To make one product purchase and file multiple returns you'll need to use the Desktop product, which lets you e-file up to 5 federal returns at no additional cost. Here is the link to the Desktop products: https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/

Note: if you are wanting to file another 2016 return for you using the previously purchased 2016 desktop program you can access the download in My Downloads. After you've purchased a downloadable product through TurboTax.com, you can download it whenever you like up to 3 years after purchase. See this FAQ for instructions to access your downloads: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3302070

You can only file one return per account with Turbotax Online, so you would need to create a second account to file another return and pay for the product twice.

If you recently prepared a 2016 return, it could only be filed by printing, signing and mailing the 2016 return.  A 2016 return cannot be e-filed.
