Question

I receive commission from my deceased husband's insurance sales. He died in 2007. If filed as a 1099 misc. it makes me pay self employment tax, etc. How can i file it?

Did you actually receive a Form 1099-MISC from the insurance company? If so, which box of the 1099-MISC are the commissions in? Is your name and Social Security number shown on the 1099-MISC as the recipient?

is the amount reported in box 3?  then in the 1099 form you got to check other income 

if that option is not available in the TT version you are using.  delete the 1099-misc and enter using other income form
