Question

I received a 1099-INT from the IRS for interest paid to me by the IRS. How do I report this? It only allows me to enter bank names in the 1099-INT section.

You will enter the information in the interest section where you would enter any other interest.

In the program,

1.  At the right upper corner, in the search box , type in interest and press Enter /

3.  Select the 1st choice on the search results - Jump to interest /

4.  Program will take you directly to screen, Did you receive any interest income ? select Yes.

5. On screen, Let Us Enter your 1099 INT, select I'll type it by myself- Continue

  • Enter the Institution ( Internal Revenue Service )as Receives from
  • Enter your interest in Box 1 and any other information
