Question

I received a form 1099 INT from IRS about an interest on an overpayment. Where shall I report this amount (or under what category) ?

You report that by going to Wages and Income, and then selecting Investments and Savings (1099-B, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-K, Crypto).  You can also click on Search, and entering "1099-INT", and then clicking on the "Jump to..." link.

Annnnd...it goes into box 1 of that 1099-INT.
