I received a letter from the IRS "Statement Showing Interest Income from the Internal Revenue Bureau" It is listed as Form 1099-INT (Rev. 10-2013). How do i report that?

They delayed paying our refund. We received the refund in September with interest. The letter from the IRS says we need to report as income, but it doesn't fit anywhere.

You will enter your Form 1099-INT into TurboTax in the "Wages and Income" section under "Interest and Dividends" . It is the same as entering a 1099-INT issued by private payer.

This interest is taxable on both your state and federal tax returns.

You can enter your Form 1099-INT information using the steps below:

    1. Open your return
    2. In the search Bar enter "Form 1099-INT"
    3. Select "Jump to 1099-INT"
    4. It will ask "Did you have investment income in 2024?" Select "Yes"
    5. Select "Continue"
    6. Select "Skip Import"
    7. You will Select your investment type which is "Interest"
    8. You will "Continue"
    9. Then you will see the screen "Let's get the info from your 1099-INT"
    10. You will type in the information from your Form 1099-INT on that page.

Your screens will look something like this:
