I received a notification that my account is at risk. My personal information is being used. Maybe a mistake?I have logged on a lot of devices phones, PC's Laptops.

My account is fresh just got it. I used to have it years ago under a different email I no longer have access to. Could it be a mistake? In the last day I've logged on from 2 PC's, 2 Laptops, and my phone. My Wife also did from hers. Could that be the reason because if so these people got me super fast.

    It was from intuit the turbotax app notification.  

    I found out however I made a second account by mistake using my email address instead of my user name. I guess I figured like other sites you could log in either way. I was helped by a very awesome representative that got me all fixed up 😊. Feels good knowing it was user error, and not someone trying to use my information.

    Did the notification you received about your account being at risk come from Intuit or another verifiable source? Some notifications may appear legitimate but are from potential scammers attempting to get the recipient's information.

    If you believe your tax information may have been compromised, and you don't already have an Identity Protection PIN, the IRS recommends you use the Get An IP PIN tool in order to protect your tax account from tax related identity theft. The IP PIN authenticates you as the valid filer of the return.
