Question

I received a W-2 and a W-2VI. Should I enter both forms in the W-2 section?

I am not a bona fide resident of the USVI. I entered the W-2 and W-2VI information since my employer split the wages approximately 51 to to 49 % between the US and USVI respectively.

You indicate that you entered the wages, but not where/how since VI wages, I believe, appear on a page 2 of the W-2VI.  I know what needs to be done (I believe) but not how to do so within TurboTax program itself.

It depends on if you are a resident of the United States or the Virgin Islands.  Special laws exist, and you either declare the income to the United States or the USVI depending on your residency.

The TurboTax program did not handle the filling of FORM 8689 which is required for Income Tax to the U.S. Virgin Islands.  So if you received a W-2VI, then you must complete that form in addition to your 1040.  On the 1040 Line 18, the amount should tie to Line 40 on FORM 8689.  You will need to mail paper copies of all the information to BOTH the US IRS and the USVI IRS.  Hope this helps!
