I received an e-mail from Intuit stating that I used a different machine to process my return. I didn't but upgrade to Windows 10. Will that affect my refund?

No, this cannot have an impact on your refund. If your return was accepted, the IRS doesn't take your Operating System upgrade or computer into account.

This message was an alert, an FYI- just to make sure it was you who filed. A change in operating system is almost like getting a new machine, so that is why you got the message.
