Question

I received an email stating that IDNotify had found my email address on the DarkWeb. Is this typical of how you operate. I have had some issues with weird emails.

IDnotify is not part of TurboTax or Intuit.  It is a third party owned by Experian.

ID Notify is a service you might have subscribed to as an add-on benefit, along with Audit Defense and some other things.  It's not run by Turbotax.  You have to log in directly to see what they have to say.

Having your email address on the "dark web" sounds scary but is normally not a problem by itself, it just might mean you get a little more spam than usual.  I would be more concerned about passwords, credit card and birth dates.

In a roundabout way, I came across this link to get to those alerts that WORKS!!! The email alert link is worthless!

Maybe someone in customer service will eventually care enough to get the alert emails corrected.
