I received both a W-2 ($1600) and 1099-Misc ($985) this year. Is it possible to still use the AbsoluteZero edition of turbotax since my 1099-Misc earnings were so low?

As long as your AGI is $33,000 or less you ( if those two forms are you only income you qualify) you can use the TurboTax Freedom Edition which is different from the Free Edition which doesn't support 1099-misc income. It will support both forms.
