Question

I received Unemployment during Covid in 2020, but not 2021. How do I remove my 1099G when filing for 2021 this year?

It is currently showing that I'll be filing with a 1099G attached, but that is incorrect as I didn't get unemployment benefits last year, but the year before.

When asked if you received unemployment compensation in 2021 just answer NO.

Or if a Form 1099-G was transferred from the 2020 tax return -

 

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Tools

Click on Delete a form

Delete Form 1099-G
