I recently got the 2021 stimulus check, but it was a lot less than i expected. Looks like it is based on my 2019 income, and my 2020 return has not been processed.

my 2020 income is a lot lower than my 2019, so i should have qualified for a full stimulus.

If your 2020 tax return has not been processed, then your third stimulus payment will be based on your 2019 tax information.

The IRS has said there will be a process to line up the stimulus payments with 2020 tax but it has not provided details on whether it will mail out additional refunds or have some type of Recovery Rebate Credit on the 2021 tax return.
