I removed my state return but turbo tax still charged me $40 to file state taxes. How do I get my money back?

However, you should not have been charged until you had completed your return and had it available to be e-filed or printed out. At that point, we had provided you with a completed tax return, so I don't know if we would be able to refund your purchase.

Once the return is ready to be filed, we have no way of knowing if you actually filed it or not. We cannot routinely refund the purchase of our product once you have completed your return since customers could easily abuse that privilege.
