Solved

I said I needed to file a 1099 for a contractor on schedule E - I found out I do NOT need to do this as they are not independent. How do I fix this?

I already efiled, so my fix needs to take that into account.

Yes, you do not need to do anything since you mistakenly checked a box that you did not need. This will not be a red flag to the IRS.

The question asking if you had to file 1099 for a contractor that was paid over $600 is for your information to remind you to do it.  This will not affect your tax return, and it won't be rejected for that reason.

Thanks - I understand all of that, but don't want the IRS or state coming to me with penalities and fines because they never get a 1099 from me for this property for this year (2021)... So, I think you are saying "just do nothing"...
