Question

I set up to pay my federal on last Friday, why has payment not been paid to Federal Taxes?

I set up to pay my owed Federal taxes to be paid last friday, however, no payment has been deducted, and I'm getting very worried.

In a normal season, the IRS will debit your account on the date you specified or soon after.  We have had several reports of the IRS not debiting accounts on the scheduled date. Just be patient -- the IRS will take your money! 

 

The IRS does take some time to withdraw funds. They are backlogged.
