Question

I start a return free, then an option to upgrade (an $80 value for $30.) So I agree, $30 is nothing, then it says I need to upgrade again for $60, is this is a SCAM?

The offer was for $30 at the deluxe level, then it increased to $60 on the next window.

I do agree that TurboTax is rather pushy about suggesting upgrades. Whether you need one depends upon the complexity and details of your situation. If you might describe what you are trying to accomplish at this time, I can assist you in determining what level of TurboTax you will likely need. Perhaps if you start by listing the tax forms you have, e.g. 1 W-2, 2 1099-INT, 1 1099-B, 1 1099-G, etc.
