Solved

I started working a new job at the end of December. I didn't get paid for those hours until January. Do I need a W2 for that job?

You do, but you won't receive a 2016 W-2 for this.  Since you were paid in 2017, the amount will be included in a 2017 W-2.  you don't need to worry about it this year for 2016's return.
