Question

I took a lot of money out of my 401K last year and I also was self employed. Can't get the program to let me address both issues. It either handles the money from the 401K and ignors the income or it lumps the 401k into the income. Help

Be sure to enter them in their appropriate areas in the program.  Your 401(k) distributions go into Retirement Income area for Form 1099-R.

Your self-employment income will go into self-employment income and expenses, along with the business expenses that you have incurred.
