Question

I tried to efile my return but was rejected twice. Does my payment go through anyway?

If you're referring to the Direct Debit payment for your federal and/or state income taxes, no, your payment doesn't go through since the IRS and/or state doesn't have your return.

 

To make a payment on the IRS website, see IRS payment portal.

You can also make a payment to your state. Most states have online payments on their websites.
