I turned 26 on dec 12 of 2020 but i am getting fined for the whole year of 2020. how do i fix this?

I’m being penalized for not having health insurance for the year of 2020 because i turned 26 in 2020. but my birthday was on december 12 and my health insurance went into effect on january first 2021

That would be a state penalty for not having insurance since there is no penalty on a federal tax return.
