Question

I used the Refund processing service to pay the Turbotax fees. Do I have to update my bank information with the IRS to get my stimulus money? Apr 11, 07:26 PM

If you have filed a 2018 or a 2019 tax return that includes bank account information you should receive your payment via direct deposit to that account in the next week or so.

If you filed a 2018 or 2019 tax return without bank information your check will be mailed.  Based on information we recently received IRS is currently working on a link to check on the status of your stimulus payment.  Please check this link for updates as they are available:  Covid-19 Updates

it may not be next week.  the IRS originally announced that it would be issuing the payments to those with the lowest income first with the top qualifyers having to wait til September.  of course the IRS can change this at any time.

Please read what it says on the right hand side where it says “Filers: Get Your Payment”
