Solved

I used to be able to get a (5-year?) history of my taxes ... in broad categories. Turbotax doesn't seem to have that anymore. Does it?

When I search, it tells me to go to turbotax.com ... but that has nothing.

@jewing1   i.e you DO Not use the Desktop "Tools" menu.

You use Forms Mode.   AND, at least in my Forms listing on the left side, it's just before the Tax Summary form, near the end of all the Federal forms.

@jewing1

If you are Using the "Online" browser-based software, you go to the Print Center, and make the selection download a PDF file with all forms and worksheets.  That large PDF copy contains all the sheets, including the 2-yr and 5-yr history.   The plain filing-only copy does not.

If you've already e-filed...you would have to click on "Add a State" to get back into your file, and then see the Print Center in the left menu  (no, you don't have to actually add a state....just don't change anything if you've already filed)

If you are using the Desktop software, you should be able to bring it up in Forms Mode.

You can find the Tax History option when you are using the desktop TurboTax program. It is on the Tools menu option and then Tax History

The tax history from the tools section (Desktop Turbotax, Deluxe) is just rubbish. First, it consists of bar charts rather than tables. While you can get the (rounded) numbers by mouse-overs, it's a laborious process, and not very accurate. Also, the information is just WRONG ... that taxable income is silly (less than the tax I paid). I don't really trust anything here. This does not instill confidence in Turbotax. They used to have a simple, but very useful five-year history. Too bad ... Turbotax used to be a first-rate product.

@jewing1 Do not see a problem using my 2023 Premier edition of TurboTax.  It shows exactly the same amounts from all returns from 2019 through 2023 when I look at the History Report in the Tools section.

What is shown on the Summary and Detail of the report coincide exactly to the entries that are on the 5 year Tax History Report in the Forms section of the program.

Click on Forms.  When in Forms mode scroll to the bottom of the federal list and open the Tax History Report
