Question

I've been asked to update my employer/page state withholding ID. I've double-checked, and both are correct

How do I update the withholding tax schedule?

This might be happening if your State ID on your tax form contains any "zeros" at the beginning of the numbering or at the end. I am a RI'er and the State ID will typically be the same as the Federal ID, but with zeros at the end so when we go to e-file, we get that same message and have to remove the zeros. If you chose to have your W2 uploaded, you most likely will need to delete it and manually enter the information in order to make this correction. This is true for most every tax program and not specific to TurboTax.
