Question

I've been on disability for nine plus years always told not to file. this year and found out I qualify. How do I go about seeing if I can file back the allotted 6 years?

Not sure what you think you qualify for.   If your only income has been Social Security disability you have not had a requirement to file a federal tax return.   If you need to file tax returns for any past years the software is available for tax years 2017 to the present.   Software is no longer available for any year earlier than 2016, and it is too late to receive a tax refund for 2016 or earlier.

Are you seeking some sort of state tax credit that you think you qualify for?   If so ---what credit and what state?

Please explain what you are trying to qualify for.
