Question

I've finished the forms and paid my federal tax due in Step 1. Step 2 is asking me to pay again; there's nowhere to directly deposit the state refund?

Please explain how you "paid my federal tax due in Step 1."   What did you do to pay?    Do you mean you think you paid Turbo Tax its fees?

 

What are you doing to pay your federal tax due?  

 

Your post is very confusing.   So---you owe federal tax but you are getting a state refund?    Is that correct?
