I want to apply my full 2022 state tax refund (state is Georgia) to my 2023 estimated taxes. How is this entered. It is so simple for federal return?

To apply your state refund to next year, enter it under

State Taxes tab

And keep continuing and stepping though the interview about a dozen or more screens and it will finally ask how much you want to apply.  It is probably one of the last questions in the state section.

Yes, it is not apparent when going through the Georgia state section, but it can be done

In the Georgia program you need to select Other Situations.

Then you have to select Estimate Tax Payments for Next Year.

Then answer Yes to start the Georgia estimated tax section

Continue through the various screen until you land on the screen labeled Apply Overpayment?

Select Apply All and Continue
