How do I edit the TIN on tax return

The TIN looks a little like a Social Security number, and it identifies a person or a company to the IRS. Every form varies slightly. But the TIN is usually just below the payer’s name and address.

To edit the number, you would return to the input screen for that form, select the appropriate transaction and the type directly over the previous entry.
