I want to efile my 2019 return.

Go through the three steps of the FILE section slowly and carefully.  Read each screen so that you can choose how to receive your refund and if you choose direct deposit, make sure to enter your bank's routing number and your own account number correctly.  The last thing you do in order to e-file is click a big orange button that says "Transmit my returns now."  Until you click that button, you have not filed.

Then watch your emails--you will receive an email that tells you if your return has been accepted by the IRS or rejected.

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
