You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

I had attempted back in Oct 2020 and it was rejected because I had the incorrect AGI and have the proper AGI amount to insert at this time.  I ALREADY PAID FOR EFILING OF OUR TAX RETURN and request you reopen the program for me to e-file now!!!

Thanks,

A prior year tax return can no longer be e-filed, it must be printed and mailed.  Only tax year 2021 returns can be e-filed starting in January 2022.

If you used the TurboTax online editions there is no charge to e-file a tax return, federal or state.  The TurboTax account fees are for the use of the software to assist in completing a tax return.

To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

A 2019 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

Print, sign, date and mail the tax return to the IRS.  Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld.  Go to this IRS website for mailing addresses - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment

There are no penalties for filing a tax return after the due date if filing for a tax refund or there are no taxes owed.
