This years TT does not offer "I want to enter data myself" when it starts Step-by-Step, or does it?

Oh, I am so sorry! I thought you meant forms, not going where you want. On the desktop, you can select the income or deductions or other tax situations tab and then select what you want to work on.

Online, you can select another tab, start the process and leave. When you come back, it will show you more options for you to choose what to work on next. It is different this year. For online, it shows all the fields I have entered, scroll down and I see a search bar and more options.

The program leads you through the entries. When you go into the investments, you can "skip import" to type it in yourself.

That's the problem. I do not want TT to lead me thru the entries. In past years I have been able to enter the data in the order I wanted. Are you telling me I must have TT lead me by the hand like I'm an idiot?

And I am not a new member. For some reason Intuit couldn't find my history.
