Question

I wanted to know since I filed with Turbo tax will I get a direct deposit for the stimulus package or will I get a check in the mail?

If you've already filed your taxes this year, you're all set.  The IRS will automatically deposit your payment to the bank account provided on your return if you provided direct deposit information.

 

If you didn't provide direct deposit information, in the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.

  • TurboTax will update this page if/when the IRS makes any changes.
