I was filing my taxes and I realized my taxes from last year were rejected, will that affect my taxes this year ?

Possibly. It depends what type of information had to be carried forward. Discover if you can, the reason for the rejection and fix it. File it by mail. When transferring over the info into 2019, check that all the information is correct.
