Question

I was forced to pay $98 for TurboTax Deluxe though I did not use any services. I was scammed. Has anyone been able to be refunded?

I also do not need anyone “explaining” the wrong answers, TurboTax has been sued for this and I’m tired of mansplaining. Bye TurboTax and your awful community.

It is not refundable, so you might as well use it to prepare and file your taxes.

I already submitted and did not use the services, I hope they are having a fun time adding hiding charges during a pandemic.

There are no additional services if you paid $98.  Additional services, like LIve, would have cost another $100.  The $98 is to prepare and file your taxes.  It is not a hidden charge.  You paid to prepare and file federal and state, plus sales tax.

The TurboTax Free online edition is for very simple tax returns that do not require any other form or schedule other than the Form 1040.  If your tax data requires entry on any other form or schedule then you must upgrade to the Deluxe edition or higher.

For some reason you wanted to pay the $59 TurboTax account fee for the Deluxe edition with your federal tax refund.  The refund processing fee for this option is $39 as was shown on the screen giving you the payment options.

indeed, I was screwed out of over 1000$ for having my refund wired to my bank. How is this legal? I deserve a response from these criminals? Its call stealing. Or get me the rest of my refund.
