Your question got cut off, but I am assuming that you are asking about the portion of the year NOT covered by he Marketplace. You don't enter any forms for that portion, and you don't specifically list the coverage in any way. The IRS only wants detailed information on Marketplace/ 1095-A plans.

You will indicate the following in the Health Insurance tab:
  • Check "I had it for part of 2016"
  • Check off every month except for September (you will automatically not have a penalty, since it was only 1 month)
  • Click Continue after waived penalty message
  • Click, Yes, you were enrolled in an uncommon plan. If you had Marketplace insurance for even 1 month, you would say Yes. You are not indicating that you had Marketplace insurance all year.
  • click on Obamacare 1095-A
  • Enter your 1095-A, which should already only show figures for October- December
Turbo Tax will calculate your Premium Tax Credit based on the months you were covered by the Marketplace plan. And you only note that you had coverage those other months.
