I was quoted a price of $84.99 for premier Fed plus State tax return with e-file in late January. But I an almost done, and will be charged much more. Why?

This is because TurboTax offered an early filers discount for those who paid for and/or filed their tax return prior to March 1, 2019.

In order to take advantage of the early filers discount, you would have had to pay for and/or file your tax return prior to March 1, 2019.
