I worked for a temp. agency for three months in 2016. They withheld taxes for the wrong state. What do I do?

If you did not live or work in the "wrong state" in 2016, you should file a non resident return for a refund of your state tax paid.

Always prepare your non-resident state first, so that the credit for other state taxes paid is calculated correctly on your resident state tax return. See the FAQ below for more info.
