Question

If a state requires Tax Return to be mailed in, will TurboTax do that for me or should I? It shows printed on my TurboTax & status of "ready to mail".

TurboTax never mails a tax return for you. When you file by mail, you need to sign the return and date it in ink, and mail it yourself. You also need to include copies of your W-2's and any 1099's that show tax withheld.

Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
