If I did pay tax due by credit card and will receive no refund from fed. or state, why am I charged an additional 14.24 on top of the 29.99 filing fee?

Convenience fee charged by the IRS, not by TurboTax. When electing to pay your Tax Due by credit card in TurboTax, the third-party processor charges a 2.49% convenience fee based on the information found using the link below:
