If I got a divorce in 2020 do I file as single or divorced on my 2023 taxes?

Unless you have remarried---you file as Single.  Divorced is not a filing status on a tax return.  The software asks if you are divorced, but only to navigate you to some later questions.   If you have not remarried and do not have a qualifying dependent to file as Head of Household, then for 2020 and the years thereafter you file Single.
