If I have a 1099 INT with 2 different names on it, can it be filed under the first name only?

One name is mine and the other name is my brother who lives in Florida. We are both over 65

The IRS will expect it to be reported by whoever's social security number is on the form. If it should be reported under a different taxpayer, you would want to contact the issuer to have that changed.
